Architect Payment Smartwatch

Overview

The Architect is an NFC payment smartwatch — a watch with contactless tap-to-pay built in. Wear it, tap it at a terminal, and it spends from a linked payment source. As with every wearable in this shop, it's a spend device, not Bitcoin key storage: the NFC payment function links to a supported card or account, and the watch holds no private keys, no seed and no coins of its own. Depending on the model, it may also offer basic timekeeping and fitness-style features alongside payments.

The appeal is combining a watch you'd wear anyway with tap-to-pay, so one device covers the wrist. At around $130 it's mid-priced for a payment wearable and more of an everyday object than a single-purpose ring or fob. The honest caveats are the payment-wearable standards plus a watch's own quirks: the payment side works only while the linked card/service does, it's limited to contactless amounts, a lost watch should be unlinked promptly, and any smart features may need charging and their own app.
