No. You own and manage your money without a bank. You hold the keys to your wallet, and for Bitcoin Nuri adds a second, co-signing key. Because Nuri is not a bank, there is no deposit insurance.
No. Your Bitcoin needs two keys to spend: yours and Nuri's. Nuri alone can never move it, and after about 77 days your key alone is enough, even if Nuri disappears. Bitcoin has no issuer, so nobody can freeze it. Stablecoins like USDC and EURC are issued by Circle, which can block them by law, for example for stolen funds. Yes. Registration, the wallet, the IBAN account and the VISA card are free, with no monthly fee. Like with every card, some services have fees: Nuri charges 1-2% on swaps, shown before you confirm, and card services such as ATM withdrawals or currency exchange can have fees.
